Were there recalls of Nissan remote car starters in 2014?

According to Edmunds, there were no recalls of factory-installed Nissan remote car starters in 2014. However, the third-party remote start installer Directed did issue a recall of remote start devices installed on vehicles between 2008 and 2014.
The recall of Directed products only effects vehicles with push-to-start ignitions, not vehicles that are started by inserting a key into the ignition. Some Nissan models come with push to start ignitions, including the 2014 Nissan Altima. The recall of the Directed remote starter is being conducted through Directed dealerships. As of 2015, dealerships that issued a recalled product are installing free upgrades for customers that contact them.
