Who were Sacagawea's mother and father?

According to Hidatsa oral history accounts, the name of Sacagawea's mother was Otter Woman and her father was Smoked Lodge. This information was provided by a Hidatsa named Bulls Eye, who claimed to be Sacagawea's grandson.

Not much is known about the early life of Sacagawea, except that she grew up as part of the Shoshone tribe and was kidnapped by the Hidatsa tribe. Sacagawea lived among the Hidatsa people until she married French Canadian trader, Toussaint Charbonneau.

Bulls Eye disputed claims that Sacagawea was Shoshone and alleged that she was really of Hidatsa origins. Whichever version is true, there is no further information about her parents.
