There are several Toyota models that feature an all-wheel drive option, including the Sienna, the RAV4, the Venza and the Highlander, as of 2015. The Toyota Matrix also featured an all-wheel drive option, but the model was discontinued in 2014.

While all-wheel drive is useful for maintaining traction on wet or icy roads, Toyota also manufactures vehicles with full-time four-wheel drive, which is built for off-road conditions. These vehicles include the Sequoia and the Land Cruiser. Toyota SUV and truck models with optional four-wheel drive include the 4Runner, the Tacoma and the Tundra. The FJ Cruiser, discontinued in 2014, also featured four-wheel drive.
