What is a white ball phython?
By Forinfos - 14/11/2025 - 0 comments
A white ball python is a ball python snake whose pigment has been reduced due to a condition called leucism. Unlike albinism, the condition is caused by a reduction in all types of skin pigment, not just melanin.
The ball python, or python regius, is a nonvenomous species of snake found in Africa. It is the smallest of the African pythons and is popular in the pet trade due to its usually docile personality. The name "ball python" refers to its tendency to curl into a ball when stressed. The snake also is known as the "royal python," referring to rulers in Africa having worn the animal as jewelry.
