What is a white hole?

A white hole is a point in space that expels matter just as powerfully as a black hole vacuums matter in. It is a hypothetical opposite of a black hole, but, as of 2014, it is only considered a plausible theory.

A white hole could be an exit point for the matter that enters through a black hole in another universe. It was also originally believed that quasars were white holes, but it has since been shown that they are merely powered by other black holes. As of 2014, white holes have never been observed, so they may be theoretical possibilities that do not exist.
