"My Wife" was released in 1993 as the first single from country performer Charlie Chase's album, "My Wife ... My Life." Singer Jimmy Dean later recorded a cover version of the tune for promo purposes only; it was not officially released to the public.

The Charlie Chase rendition of "My Wife" rotates with some regularity on "Willie's Road House," a SiriusXM satellite radio show hosted by music publisher/songwriter Charlie Monk, who's also responsible for writing the tune. Music fans hoping to find Jimmy Dean's cover version of the song are routinely disappointed to discover it's not available anywhere for sale or download.
