When was "Seed of Chucky" released?

"Seed of Chucky" was released on Nov. 12, 2004. The horror-comedy was directed by Don Mancini, the writer and creator of "Child's Play." The film was released on DVD on June 7, 2005.

The film stared Jennifer Tilly, Billy Boyd and Brad Dourif. Filming of the movie took place almost entirely on the Castel soundstages in Romania. All of the film's makeup and special effects were created by Tony Gardner. The film's U.s. theatrical run closed on Dec. 23, 2004, and it grossed under $25 million worldwide. Critical response to the film was mostly negative. A straight-to-video sequel, "Curse of Chucky," was released in 2013.
