Wilbur Smith is a South African author of adventure novels. He has written 35 books as of 2015, with 2014's "Desert God" being the latest. His bibliography includes three series, the Ballantyne, Courtney and Egyptian series, as well as a variety of thrillers. Most of his novels deal with the colonization and history of South Africa. Several of Smith's books have been developed into films and television miniseries.
