Where do wild rabbits and hares live?
By Forinfos - 04/05/2026 - 0 comments
Wild hares and rabbits live all throughout the world and can generally be found in dense forests, tundra and grassland regions. One common type of rabbit, the cottontail, is common in urban areas in North America. It is seldom found living in open grasslands or dense forests.
Wild rabbits are covered in a dense, soft coat of fur and are usually brown to white in color. Some wild rabbits living in colder climates can change the color of their fur from brown to white to blend in with their surroundings and have a better chance of avoiding predators. Wild rabbits are more social than their hare counterparts and are also smaller in size.
