The Wood and Huston of Wood & Huston Bank are William Wood and Joseph Huston Jr. The two men originally ran a trading and transportation business in Arrow Rock, Missouri.
Joseph Huston and William Wood moved 15 miles west in 1874, founding a bank in Marshall, Missouri. The bank became popular for its banking expertise and local, personal service. Over the years, the bank expanded to other Missouri locations, including Cape Girardeau, Higginsville, Jackson, Springfield and West Plains. As of 2015, the fourth and fifth generations of Hustons and their employees serve customers while raising their families in the community.
