When did Mother Angelica die?

Mother Angelica is still alive as of April 2014. She has not regained her ability to speak since a severe cerebral hemorrhage in 2001, and she still lives at the Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Hanceville, Ala.

Born as Rita Antoinette Rizzo on April 20, 1923, Mother Mary Angelica of the Annunciation is the founder of the Eternal Word Television Network (EWTN). She initiated the construction of Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Irondale, Ala., and the Shrine of the Most Blessed Sacrament and Our Lady of the Angels Monastery in Hanceville. She also hosted her own talk show on EWTN, "Mother Angelica Live."
