Why would you put Crisco on dry cracked feet?
By Forinfos - 07/04/2025 - 0 comments
People commonly slather their feet with Crisco shortening as an inexpensive home remedy for dry and cracked feet. Other home remedies include petroleum jelly, olive oil and coconut oil, among others.
Crisco vegetable oil contains natural oils, such as soybean oil and cottonseed oil, as well as anti-oxidants, which are great for the skin, according to One Good Thing. When used as a skin treatment, the shortening is applied in a thick layer to the skin and covered with cloth, socks or slippers. In most cases, the treatment is left on overnight and washed away with warm soap and water in the morning.
