Who would win in a fight between a lion and a gorilla?

Lions and gorillas do not interact with each other in the wild and do not fight. According to Encyclopaedia Britannica, gorillas only live in the tropical forests of equatorial Africa. Lions, by contrast, live in open areas such as grasslands, savannas and dense scrubs.

The gorilla, a close relative of humans, is divided into three subspecies: the eastern lowland gorilla, the western lowland gorilla and the mountain gorilla. All are herbivorous with minor differences in composition of diet. The lion is strictly carnivorous and preys on medium-sized mammals such as zebras, wildebeest and warthogs. The jaguar, a close relative of the lion, does prey on primates.
