Who wrote the words to the Lord's Prayer?

The Lord's Prayer was first spoken by Jesus, according to the gospels of Luke and Matthew. The version spoken most often in churches follows Matthew's account more closely than Luke's account.
Despite their titles, it is not clear who wrote either the Gospel of Luke and the Gospel of Matthew. Neither book states the author's name, and the attributions to Luke and Matthew are more recent than the manuscripts themselves. Some religious traditions believe that the wording of the Bible was divinely inspired. Scholars believe both works were written near the end of the first century A.D., approximately 60 years after Jesus' death.
