Will a yeast infection go away if untreated?
By Forinfos - 28/03/2025 - 0 comments
Some mild yeast infections may clear up on their own, but simple treatment options exist if they do not. Yeast infections are caused by an imbalance in vaginal bacteria and are usually easy to treat using anti-fungal creams, tablets or vaginal suppositories.
Symptoms of yeast infection include soreness and itching of the vagina and burning or pain during sex or urination. A discharge that resembles cottage cheese may also be present. Most women notice the symptoms of yeast infections during the week before their menstrual cycles.
Recurring yeast infections may be symptomatic of an underlying medical condition, such as diabetes. Women who experience repeated yeast infections should consult a physician.
