How do you zip a PDF file?

To zip a PDF file, download and install 7-Zip, right-click on the PDF file, and click on Add to archive the file in the pop-up menu. Select Zip from the archive format menu, and click on OK.

  1. Download 7-Zip

    Go to the official 7-zip website, and click the download link.

  2. Install the program

    Follow the on-screen prompts to install the software.

  3. Open the compression menu

    Right-click on the PDF you want to compress. Find 7-Zip in the pop-up menu, and hover over it with your mouse to bring up another menu.

  4. Compress the PDF file

    Click on Add to archive. In the next menu, click on Archive format. Choose zip from the drop-down menu, and click OK.
