Are zombies real?

There are documented cases of "real" zombies. They vary immensely, however, from the Western understanding of zombies as undead monsters who like to dine on the flesh of the living.
Zombies, in some parts of the Caribbean, are people who are poisoned-or reduced to a state that is so near death that they are mistaken for dead--by a voodoo priest or priestess. Once the "deceased" is buried, the person is then exhumed and drugged, in order to be kept in a decreased mental capacity, allowing his or her actions to be dictated by a master."Zombie" is the term used to describe the person walking around in a trance-like and spirit that controls the person.
