The standard 1911 Liberty Head V nickel is not rare and is readily available on the market. According to CoinTrackers, roughly 39,557,000 coins were produced at the Philadelphia mint, making it the most common of the Liberty Head V nickels issued from 1883 to 1912.

Due to their age and affordability, the coin remains moderately popular among collectors, with standard issues in poor condition carrying a value of at least $2.50, and those in perfect condition fetching up to $115 from some collectors. Just 1,773 rarer "proof" nickels were issued in 1911, and the proofs often command $300 or more at auctions.
