Celine Dion has been married to Rene Angelil since Dec. 17, 1994. The pair met in 1980 when Dion, age 12, sent Angelil a demo of her singing a song she had written with her mother. Angelil, then 38 years old, became her manager. They became a couple in 1987.

Dion and her husband have since renewed their vows and have three children together. In 2013, Angelil was diagnosed with recurring throat cancer, an illness that has caused both him and the singer to take career breaks to focus on better health. As of 2015, the couple is still together.
