Why did John Cena get divorced?

Wrestler John Cena and former wife Elizabeth Huberdeau reportedly ended their marriage because of financial and emotional strains caused by home renovations. One contractor filed for a $110,000 lien against their home after not being paid.

Cena and Huberdeau were married on July 11, 2009. Huberdeau claims she was blindsided when Cena filed for divorce. The divorce was settled in 2012, but not before accusations were made by both parties. Huberdeau claimed that Cena had affairs with other women, including wrestler Mickie James.

Cena began dating Nikki Bella in 2012. Bella is a member of the Bella Twins wrestling tag team.
