Many different types of alcohol can be mixed with apple cider, including rum, whiskey, cinnamon schnapps, Grand Marnier, Jagermeister, bourbon, vodka or brandy. Other popular ingredients in apple cider cocktails include lemon juice and cinnamon.

Spiked Apple Cider is a great cocktail recipe to prepare for a fall party. The ingredients include 1/4 gallon of apple cider, 1/2 cup dark rum and 1/2 cup cinnamon schnapps. All ingredients should be mixed well in a large pitcher. This spiked apple cider is best served over ice. Diced apples may be tossed with lemon juice, threaded onto skewers and placed in each glass for a garnish.
