When does apple picking season begin?
By Forinfos - 11/03/2026 - 0 comments
The start of apple season varies by location and type of apple, but most trees begin producing fruits in mid-August and early September. The beginning of each season is generally predictable from one year to the next but may be delayed or expedited by unusually cold or warm weather or by excess rain or drought.
Gala, Jersey Mac and Akane are among the earliest varieties of apples to appear each year. These fruits generally appear on trees in August or the first part of September. Other apples, such as the Jazz, Yates and Fuji are among the last to sprout, and do not emerge until mid-to-late October.
