The British writer Jeffrey Archer is the author of "The Clifton Chronicles." The series is a historical saga that follows the lives of the Clifton and Barrington families as they live through the major events of the 20th century.
The Clifton Chronicles contain five books, beginning with "Only Time Will Tell" and continuing through "Mightier Than the Sword." A sixth book, "Cometh the Hour," is pending release in February 2016.
Archer's other novels include "Kane and Abel," "As the Crow Flies" and "The Eleventh Commandment." In addition, he has written three plays and an autobiographical series detailing his time in prison. His books have sold over 270 million copies around the world, as of 2015.
