Does Barnes & Noble give away e-books on Friday?

Through the Free Fridays program at the Nook Blog, currently active as of March 2015, Barnes and Noble allows users to download one Nook e-book or app for free. The download is available for one day only and the book and app are listed on the Nook blog at BarnesandNoble.com.

Nook books can be downloaded either via a Nook product or via the Nook reading app, available for iPhone, Android, PC and Mac. Barnes and Noble does require users to have a credit card on file before downloading any books, even free ones. Free Fridays started including app downloads on March 8, 2013, making the program enticing for more users.
