Do bearded dragons shed?

It is normal for bearded dragons to shed as they grow and produce new scales. Bearded dragons will show signs of shedding, often before they begin to shed. Bearded dragon owners can look for areas of discoloration, bulging eyes or behavior that looks like the dragon is trying to gulp in air.
Dragon owners should not interfere with the shedding process. So as to facilitate the shed, owners can provide a rock or other object for the dragon to rub against and remove shed skin.
Pulling off peeling skin can cause damage to the bearded dragon. The only time interference is needed is if the dragon seems to be in distress from shed skin that covers the nose or mouth.
