Why are my nails peeling?
By Forinfos - 16/05/2025 - 0 comments
Causes for peeling nails include doing extra chores with hands, exposing nails to chemicals, yeast infection, low protein levels, lack of amino acids, medication and insufficient vitamins. Sudden changes in the weather can also cause nails to begin to peel.
Medical conditions, such as a yeast infection, can also cause discoloration of nails. Changing the type of soap used when washing has the potential of causing the skin to dry out and the nails to peel. Using nail-strengthening polish, wearing protective gloves when doing hard work and taking vitamin supplements can help prevent nails from peeling. Additionally, avoid wearing nail tips or acrylics, as these products cause a weakening of the nail.
