How do you take off nail polish?

To take off nail polish, soak a cotton ball in nail polish remover, and press the soaked ball over the nail to for a few minutes to allow the polish soften. Wipe away the polish, clean the cuticles, and then wash and moisturize your hands.
- Ventilate the work area, and protect the working surface
Turn on a fan or open the windows and door so you don't inhale harmful gases emanating from the process. Alternatively, use non-acetone nail polish remover to avoid toxic fumes. Protect the working surface from polish with paper towels.
- Apply the polish remover
Moisten a cotton ball with nail polish remover, put your finger over the protected surface, and press the soaked ball over the nail for a few seconds. Slide the cotton ball over the nail, and sweep away the loose polish. Soak a cotton swab in the polish remover, and gently rub the cuticles to remove any stubborn polish. Repeat the process for the other fingers to remove polish from the remaining nails.
- Clean and moisturize your hands
Once all the nails are polish-free, wash your hands with soap and water to remove any and dry them. Finally, apply cream to moisturize and keep your hands healthy.
