What is the benefit of the Verizon double data pack?

The Verizon double data plan allows customers to get twice the amount of data of their regular plan for the same price. Eligible customers must have a monthly data allowance between 20 GB and 50 GB. All of the plans include unlimited voice and texting.

Under the terms of the promotional plan, customers can get 40 GB for $150 per month, 60 GB for $225 per month, 80 GB for $300 or 100 GB for $375. The double data promotion also gives moderate data increases to customers with lower monthly data allowances. The double data plan is only available to customers who took advantage of the October 2014 promotion.
