As of June 2015, Betty Nguyen has never been married according to the biographical page on her official website, BettyNguyen.com. However, Nguyen stated that she would like to marry and have a family someday in a 2008 interview.

Betty Nguyen is a journalist who appears on several news programs. Some of Nguyen's news reports have covered terrorist attacks in France, the West Africa Ebola outbreak, the election of Pope Francis and the birth of Prince George. Besides working in journalism, Nguyen co-founded Help the Hungry, an organization that provides help to families in poverty. Nguyen also started the Betty Nguyen Scholarship in Journalism.
