How big is a Ford EcoBoost engine?
By Forinfos - 03/06/2025 - 0 comments
Ford EcoBoost engines are a family of turbocharged motors that come in a variety of sizes and displacements. Common displacements for EcoBoost engines include 1.5, 2, 2.7 and 3.5 liters.
The Ford EcoBoost engine family was developed to deliver the power of higher-displacement engines while achieving up to 20 percent better fuel economy than larger engines through the use of turbocharging technologies. Many early models of EcoBoost engines were low-displacement four-cylinder designs, as are many current engines, as of 2015. Some more recent models have used larger engines as their base, such as the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 available as an option in the 2015 Ford F-150 pickup truck.
