Where is Bolivia located?

Bolivia is located in the central portion of South America, southwest of Brazil. It is a landlocked country bordered by Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Paraguay and Peru.

Although Bolivia has no coastline of its own, Chile allows it to use its Pacific ports. Before it was ceded to Chile after the War of the Pacific (1879-1883), Bolivia had territory that bordered the ocean, the Atacama corridor in the province of Antofagasta.

Bolivia covers around 424,200 square miles, ranging from the Andes Mountains to the Amazon Basin. Although the equator runs through Bolivia, the climate is affected as much by elevation as it is by latitude and varies from humid and tropical to cold and semiarid.
