What books has Jean Auel written?

Jean Marie Auel has written six books in the "Earth's Children" series as of 2015: "The Clan of the Cave Bear," "The Valley of Horses," "The Mammoth Hunters," "The Plains of Passage," "The Shelters of Stone" and "The Land of Painted Caves," which was published in 2011. Auel's books explore prehistoric Europe and have been translated into 18 languages.

Auel's first book in the "Earth's Children" series "The Clan of the Cave Bear" was nominated for several awards. Auel has performed extensive research for her books, including taking survival classes to learn primitive and aboriginal skills, traveling to see old sites and relics, performing library research and meeting with experts.
