What is a Browning lever action 45-70 rifle?

The Browning Model 1885 "High Wall" is a single-shot lever-action rifle chambered in .45-70. The Winchester Model 1886 is a lever-action repeating rifle offered in the same caliber. John Moses Browning designed both rifles.

Browning does not produce either rifle as of 2015, and Winchester no longer produces the Model 1885 "High Wall." According to Chuck Hawks, Browning did produce a modern version of the Model 1885 "High Wall" in .45-70 from 1985 to 2001. As of 2015, Winchester is still producing the Model 1886 in .45-70 in two configurations. Winchester's Model 1886 Deluxe features a color case hardened receiver and fully octagonal barrel, and as of 2015, retails for $1,739.99.
