As of May 2013, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported an average annual salary of $96,140 for all veterinarians. Ten percent of vets made at or below $53,270 per year. At the top end, 10 percent made at or above $149,530 per year.
The bottom 25 percent of vets earned at or below $69,020 as of May 2013. The top 25 percent made at or above $111,960 per year. Among states, Hawaii had the highest average pay for vets at $122,150 per year. Connecticut had the second-highest average annual salary at $121,480. New York was third with an average of $115,350 per year.
