Can a 50-year-old woman get pregnant?

If a 50-year-old woman still menstruates and ovulates she can get pregnant, but it is very unlikely. She can also get pregnant using donor eggs if she isn't menstruating.
Donor egg transfer makes it possible for a woman in her 50s to get pregnant. Getting pregnant naturally or by using her own eggs at this age would be very difficult for the woman. There are also certain risks associated with advanced maternal age. Gestational diabetes, high blood pressure, and an increased risk of C-section are all associated with being pregnant after 35 years old. According to the American Pregnancy Association, the risk of miscarriage increases for women over 35.
