Can women with HPV get pregnant?

As described by WebMD, women who have HPV can get pregnant. In most cases, HPV does not affect a pregnancy and has no negative effects on the unborn baby.
There is no scientific link between HPV and pregnancy complications, including miscarriage or premature delivery, according to WebMD. The risk of transmitting the disease to the child is very low as well. Women who are pregnant with HPV are monitored more closely by their doctors for symptoms related to the disease, which include genital warts and changes to the cervical tissue. Doctors attempt to postpone treatments for tissue changes or genital warts until the birth of the child.
