Find the pay schedules for federal employment on the Office of Personnel Management's website, OPM.gov. There salaries are broken down into several different schedules based on job function and position in the federal government.
The largest schedule is the General Schedule; this is used for most civilian jobs that are not on the executive level. Within each grade, there are many steps by which employees can gain larger salaries as they accrue seniority. In addition to the Base Pay shown on this schedule, depending on the employee's, location one can also receive locality pay increases based on local cost of living.
