Can you bake Play-Doh?

The process of baking Play-Doh is common, and often used to create DIY (Do It Yourself) ornaments for kids, for the house and even for gifts. Both Play-Doh that is store bought and homemade can be baked.

To make Play-Doh at home, use 2 cups of salt, 2 cups of warm water and 5 cups of flour. Use food coloring liberally to create custom colors; the dye can be added before or after baking the dough. Also, make sure that the design is at least 2 to 2.5 inches thick before baking. To bake Play-Doh, set the oven at 300 degrees Fahrenheit and cook it for an hour.
