Can you make play dough at home for your kids?

Make play dough by mixing flour, salt and cream of tartar together and mixing boiling water into the dry ingredients using a wooden spoon until it becomes a sticky dough. Let it cool and knead until the dough is no longer sticky.

This recipe calls for 2 cups of all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil, 1/2 cup of salt, 2 tablespoons of cream of tartar and enough boiling water to add in parts and produce a sticky dough. Add glycerine in drops to add a shine to the finished dough, and drop food coloring into the water as it boils to give the play dough a fun color.
