Homemade Kool-Aid play dough is made from flour, salt, Kool-Aid, cream of tartar, water and oil. Although it is not meant to eat, it is made from common kitchen ingredients and is therefore non-toxic.
Homemade Play Dough With Kool-Aid Recipe
Homemade play dough is very easy to prepare and takes around half an hour to make. The Kool-Aid in the recipe provides plenty of color and scent. This recipe was originally published on the Kraft Recipes website.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup flour
- 1/2 cup salt
- 1 package of Kool-Aid
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon oil
- Mix the dry ingredients
- Add the remaining ingredients
- Cook the play dough
- Cool the play dough
Mix the flour, salt, Kool-Aid and cream of tartar together in a saucepan. Stir the mixture thoroughly to blend it.
Add the water and oil to the Kool-Aid mixture and stir well.
Put the saucepan on the stove at medium heat. Cook the mixture for 5 minutes until it starts to form into a ball.
Put the play dough on a plate and let it cool before using.
Homemade play dough can be stored in an airtight container or resealable plastic bag.
