It is not recommended to feed spinach to bearded dragons. The calcium in the bearded dragon's diet binds with the spinach and makes it difficult to digest.
Lettuce is another food to avoid giving to a bearded dragons, since it has little nutritional value. Bearded dragons should also avoid eating avocados, because they are toxic. Oak, holly and ivy are other greens that may harm a bearded dragon.
Bearded dragons should not be fed insects that were found in a house. The wild insects may contain parasites or pesticides that may prove harmful to the animal. Any insect that glows is poisonous to bearded dragons.
