Boo is a Pomeranian dog, and Pomeranian breeders who are in good standing with the American Kennel Club place classified ads on the AKC website to sell their puppies. Soft-toy manufacturer Gund produces several versions of a stuffed Boo and sells them on its website.

Boo, an Internet sensation with more than 16.7 million Facebook likes as of March 2015, has raised thousands of dollars for charity with his spokesperson and principal photographer, Human. He has appeared on television and is the official pet liaison for the Virgin America airline. Gund bills him as the "World's Cutest Dog" and offers Boo slippers and earmuffs as well as specialized stuffed toys such as Boo Reindeer and Boo Rex.
