Amazon, Nostalgic Impressions, Harry Potter Shop and The Magickal Cat sell quill pens and ink. The feather pens include goose, turkey, pheasant, ostrich and peacock feathers. Some of the quill pen set options include exchangeable nibs, ballpoint quill pens and natural nibs, either carved or uncarved.

Quill pens consist of either natural or hand-dyed feathers. Porcupine quill pens measure approximately 7 inches long and usually come with dipping ink. Some quill pen and ink sets have powdered ink to which the user adds water to make one ounce of ink for dipping. Some sets have accessories such as parchment paper, note papers and sealing wax with sealing stamps.
