Cats can eat yogurt. However, according to WellVet.com, yogurt should be treated like any other dairy product and given to cats only as an occasional treat.

While milk is generally never recommended for cats due to the levels of lactose it contains, certain dairy products can be given as a treat to cats without causing stomach upset. According to Know Your Cat, bacteria in products such as yogurt and cottage cheese digest the lactose, which makes it easier for cats to consume. According to Vetinfo.com, lactose-free yogurt can be given to cats to treat the occasional case of diarrhea, gas or bloating.
