When can babies eat yogurt?
By Forinfos - 27/10/2025 - 0 comments
Most babies can start eating yogurt at around 6 months, after they start eating solids. Plain Greek yogurt is fine, but pasteurized, whole-milk yogurt with no added sweetener is better.
Serve the yogurt with fresh, chopped-up fruit or sugar-free baby food fruit. If fresh fruit is added, it should be a fruit that the baby has already tasted and tolerated. Reduced-fat or fat-free yogurt should not be offered before the age of 2, as babies need the calories from fat. If a baby is showing signs of an allergy of any kind, yogurt should not be introduced before checking with the baby's doctor.
