Where can you find your CNA license number?

Certified Nursing Assistants can find their license numbers on the front of their license certificates. CNAs can replace lost certificates by contacting the issuing agency and providing their Social Security numbers, names and addresses.

CNAs can also check various online registries that allow users to search for a specific CNA's licensing status. These registries may be limited to a single state and not all of them are open to the public. Some states, such as California, allow users to search CNA records by name. Each record displays the CNA license number, as well as the status of the license and its effective dates.
