Where can you view a cooking temperature chart?

Foodsafety.gov provides a cooking temperature chart for poultry, meat, seafood and other dishes. Using this chart and a food thermometer, measure the internal temperature of the cooked food. To ensure safe consumption, make sure that it reaches the minimum recommended internal temperature before removing it from the heat source.

Cooking food to the appropriate internal temperature destroys harmful germs in the food to prevent foodborne illnesses. Some foods, such as beef and pork, also require a rest time. Rest time is a specified amount of time when the food should maintain the required internal temperature or higher after being removed from the heat source.
