Can dogs eat eggs?

Eggs are good for dogs to eat because they contain various vitamins and minerals such as protein, vitamin A, fatty acids, iron, folate and vitamin B12. Eggshells are also good for dogs because they have calcium and protein.

Generally, it is safe for dogs to consume eggs a few times a week. One way to feed eggs to dogs is by boiling the eggs, chopping them into chunks and adding the chunks to regular dog food. The easiest way to feed dogs eggshells is by sprinkling about 1/2 teaspoon of finely ground shells on regular dog food a few times a week.
