Fresh jalapeños may be frozen and saved for future use. It is advised that frozen peppers should be used within 8 months for the best results.
It is advisable to wear gloves and avoid touching the face when handling hot peppers. Prepare jalapeño peppers for storage first by washing them and removing the entire stem. The peppers do not need to be blanched, cut or chopped before freezing. Wrap jalapeños as tightly as possible with freezable food wrapping. Ensure that the jalapeños remain fresh for as long as possible by keeping the freezer at a temperature of zero degrees Fahrenheit or lower.
