People can see Winter the Dolphin at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium in Clearwater, Florida. Winter is the star of "Dolphin Tale," and "Dolphin Tale 2," movies that chronicle the tale of Winter's rescue from being entangled in lines attached to a crab pot in Mosquito Bay, Florida.

After being found, it took a day to rescue her and the dolphin's tail was damaged to the extent that it couldn't be saved. She was fitted with a prosthetic tail, and surprised her keepers with the ability to adapt well to the adjustment.

The first "Dolphin Tale" movie came out in 2011 and starred Winter as herself alongside Morgan Freeman, Harry Connick Jr. and Ashley Judd.
